Zen Catering is excited to announce that we have entered the Restaurant and Catering awards for 2013. Nominated in two categories, wedding catering and corporate catering, Zen will be up against the best caterers in Brisbane. Watch this space for exciting updates!

27/05/13 | Exclusive caterer at Room Three Sixty

Earlier this year, Zen Catering was announced the exclusive caterer at Room Three Sixty. Located at the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane's CBD, Room Three Sixty offers uninterrupted views of the Brisbane River and Southbank. Going up against Brisbane's leading caterers, the Zen team accepted the opportunity to be exclusive caterers with great excitement.

Since this time, there have been a range of wonderful events at this venue. From corporate functions to weddings, Zen has been working closely with the excellent team at QUT and have brought these functions to life. Already a preferred caterer at QUT's other spaces including Old Government House and Garden's Theatre foyer, Zen is looking forward to working even more closely with this esteemed venue.

19/02/13 | Car Launch at Lightspace

Highlighting our great diversity as a catering company, Zen catered for a high-end Car Launch in February. This customised menu took inspiration from Heston Blumenthal's techniques and involved out of the box canapes, entree, main, dessert and a specialised cocktail to suit. Each course focused on signature 60s dishes that were modified with modern techniques.

From canapes in test tubes to a disconstructed beef wellington, we turned usual ingredients on their head to surprise our guests. The dessert even tricked the eye by appearing as a boiled egg and soliders yet was instead a surprising vanilla pannacotta, mango yolk and shortbread dipping soldiers.

21/11/12 | Corporate Function at Kangaroo Point Parklands

Zen Catering recently catered for an extraordinary corporate event, held at the Kangaroo Point Parklands. Over 100 guests mingled at the lookout and dined within the comfort of a beautifully constructed marquee, with chandeliers and live music. The marquee was perched atop the park, with unbeatable views of the city, Botanical Gardens and the Brisbane River. A selection of gourmet canapes, three course meal and wines to match, were enjoyed by guests and served by our exceptional staff.

23/10/12 | Ivory's Rock Conference

Zen Catering was proudly the exclusive caterer for the 4,000 people per day function at the Ivory's Rock Conference Centre. In September 2012, this conference for 'Amaroo' was an incredible opportunity for Zen Catering, highlighting our flexibility in hosting different events.

Catering for breakfast, lunch and dinner was a well planned and well executed feat by the staff at Zen Catering. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were served each day for 6 days across two restaurants, one pavillion and one delicatessen.

This was a challenge met enthusiastically by Zen Catering. We fed people from 61 countries with varied palates and a range of dietary requirements. This event was a great success and a true testament to Zen Catering's abilities.

03/09/12 | Zen Catering now a Preferred Supplier of QUT Precincts

Zen Catering is very happy to announce that the venues within the Brisbane and Kelvin Grove QUT Precincts are now on our preferred venues list for places to hold your event around town.

These venues include, Old Government House and The Gardens Theatre in the Brisbane CBD, and The Block and Glasshouse at Kelvin Grove.

QUT Brisbane Campus also have a very exciting new venue being built as we speak that will be taking Brisbane by storm learly next year - Roomthreesixty will be offering 360 degree views of the CBD and will be perfect to hold your next event!

06/08/12 | Zen Catering at Portrait of Spain at The Gallery of Modern Art

Zen Catering was recently contracted by the Gallery of Modern Art to cater for the very exclusive sponsor dinner to celebrate the opening of Queensland Art Gallery's PRADO : Portrait of Spain Exhibition Opening.

Zen was very honored to help farewell Tony Ellwood, the Gallery's Director, at the dinner and help celebrate the rich traditions of the country with the Minister of Culture from Spain.

The launch of the Portrait of Spain exhibit at The Gallery of Modern Art was a great success for Zen Catering. The three course meal was sensational and a perfect fit for the glamorous exhibition.

06/12/11 | Zen Catering at The Gallery of Modern Art & Queensland Art Museum

We are extremely proud to announce that Zen Catering has been awarded a preferred supplier agreement for the supply of function & event catering at GOMA and QAG. Private and Corporate clients are now be able to use Zen Caterings services within these iconic venues for their next event.

Zen Catering has been operating unofficially as a preferred supplier for the last 3 years providing catering services for the opening of key exhibitions within both venues. This experience means Zen Catering has extensive knowledge of operating together with both establishments in executing detailed, high quality events.
